Allahabad, officially known as Prayagraj, is a city located in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Situated at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers, it holds significant religious and cultural importance in Hinduism. Known as the "Tirth Raj" or the "King of Pilgrimage Centers," it hosts the Kumbh Mela, the largest religious gathering in the world, every 12 years. The city is also renowned for its historic landmarks, including the Allahabad Fort, built by Mughal Emperor Akbar, and the iconic Anand Bhawan, the ancestral home of the Nehru-Gandhi family. With its rich heritage, religious significance, and political history, Allahabad remains a vibrant cultural hub in India.
