Truly a Local Rock Radio Station, EKR’s (East Kent Radio) history began when East Kent Radio Limited was formed to apply for the re-advertisement of the east Kent licence in October 1994, which was held by Invicta Radio at that time. The station went on air for a 1 month temporary FM Licence on 107.2 FM in December 1995. Now, many years later we launch the station again, online here first then with plans to move onto Local SSLDAB and Community FM later. We have a unique local rock music flavour from Kent Bands integrated into the programming, both past and present, and our speciality of finding unsigned local bands are also included.
