Playing the greatest songs from the four greatest decades of music (in our opinion), Jukebox Radio is where you can listen to the classic hits of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s with almost no interruptions. We also revisit the golden era of radio comedy, children’s favourites on weekend mornings, disco nights on Friday and Saturday, and special themed shows. Plus, during the day and overnight, YOU get to choose and play the music with our fantastic request feature that you’ll find on our Request Show page. No sending in emails, no waiting for DJs to either play it or not, your song is guaranteed to go into the queue and be played! We’re pretty proud of that. This is a station for those of you who grew up in a world where the radio was on all the time, somewhere. It was on in the kitchen in the mornings, at work when you got there, in schools for education, and, more often than not, under your pillow or covers at night when you were supposed to be going to bed. Jukebox Radio is for everyone who waited for comedy shows and quiz shows to come on in the evening, who listened patiently as Radio Caroline, Radio Luxembourg, Laser 558, and the like, drifted in and out, when we tuned into the shortwave bands to try and hear stations from around the world if the weather conditions were right, and for everyone who sat poised with their tape recorders, fingers hovering over ‘Play’ and ‘Record’ on a Sunday evening to record your favourites from the new chart.
