Phat Choons Radio is a UK online station playing the phattest 90s & 00s dance, trance & house choons — 24/7. Built to sound like the FM stations you grew up with, complete with cheeky presenters and that unmistakable processed warmth that's missing from radio today. Built by Matt Hamer, a former club and radio DJ across the North West of England and the Midlands. I wanted to bring you the best music from that era in a modern way, without losing any of the vintage warmth of the FM radio we all grew up on. And so Phat Choons Radio was born. Some of you might remember my "Phat Choons" mix CDs from back then — maybe you've still got one tucked away somewhere. Naming the station was the easy part; recreating the authentic sound of that era was the real challenge. How it works It's all killer, no filler here — and no traditional ad breaks. Just music curated from my own personal collection, preserved in the highest possible quality, with my virtual presenters shouting out a local business every few songs. Many tracks come straight from my personal vinyl collection, crackles and all! Every hour of the day has its own theme, so the choons you know and love play round the clock, every day.
