Episode's summary
"Valentines Day doesn't have to suck!" is a campaign slogan from TWLOHA (To Write Love On Her Arms) - a mental health focused charity. It is a cause close to my heart, and an important time to remind people they matter! This mix has become an annual celebration of change. Change in life, attitude, perspective or whatever it is that helps you to cope with a fast moving world. Drum & Bass has been a staple part of my life for over 25 years, and the changing moods of the music have had an incredibly positive impact on me when I needed it. As part of the campaign this Valentine's day I wanted to share some of that with you. I'll post a track-listing below for those that want it, but first let me encourage you, if you so desire to visit some of the following links - the most important one at the top! Deejay Quest - 1993: Old Skool Podcast Ep. 1
ListenedFirst in a series of mixes for a new podcast. 1993 was a pivotal year in music for me. I went back through the archives and put together a mix of the tracks that inspired me to DJ. Hardcore, Jungle, D&B: Pianos, Amen beats and samples galore. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed mixing!
