Sent to interview him for The Times in 1992, Maggie Fergusson became Brown's friend, and he gave her his blessing to write his biography. George Mackay Brown: The Life, published twenty years ago, has never since been out of print, and won four prizes. Brown remains central to Maggie's thinking and faith.
